It’s Thanksgiving week and a time to reflect on the things we are Thankful for. This morning, as we were scarfing down breakfast trying to get out the door, the family was listing off things we are grateful for. Food, Grandma, jiu-jitsu, friends, cool clothes, Furbies, 3-D printed dragons were all things the kids came up with. 

In addition to the obvious… Karina and I wanted to let you know that we are Thankful for YOU! Yes, the readers of the SummerlinHQ newsletter, visitors to our WEBSITE , and those who have visited our instagram. We started this passion project 5 months ago thinking maybe we would get 3,000 subscribers by the end of the year and start growing a community around the newsletter. As of today, we are about to surpass 11,000 subscribers. THANK YOU!

Nittaya’s Secret Kitchen keeps things simple, fresh, and full of flavor. The fried spinach is a favorite and worth ordering every time, and the curries, pad Thai, and small plates are all cooked with care.

Paige and Rye is a cozy, modern space that blends a small event venue with a sweet boutique. People enjoy the calm vibe, friendly staff, and creative events like vision boards and make your own charcuterie boards.

There is a little cocktail bar, plenty of cute gifts, candles, and baby items, and a relaxed feel that makes it easy to hang out. It is a lovely spot for hosting, shopping, or just unwinding for a bit.

The Gist: NV Energy has disclosed that tens of thousands of customers were overcharged by an estimated $65.4 million from 2002 to 2025. The issue stems from apartment residents being mistakenly billed as single family customers. Earlier estimates were lower, but new filings with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada added another $27.4 million in overcharges. The utility has already begun issuing refunds, including $32.6 million announced in September.

Why It Matters: Many Nevada residents could see refunds tied to years of incorrect billing. Neighbors are hoping this brings some long overdue clarity to their monthly bills.
