Can you really get anything these days for a buck? Last week - walking around and meeting some local business owners, my daughter found a dollar on the street. She was so pumped and wanted to “go shopping.” I had to explain, to my 7-year old, that a dollar doesn’t go as far as it used to.
BTW - has anyone figured out a way to explain to kids the economic realities of a movie & popcorn outing for a family of 4 now costs $100, or that cars now cost $50,000, and that your average house in Summerling costs $900,000??? Trying to explain a 30-year mortgage to a 7-year old is like me trying to speak Greek.
Anyway, it got me thinking… WHERE are the “deals” in Summerlin? Shoot us an email by responding here on your favorite happy hours, free events for kids, and/or places you go for “deals” - and we will highlight your suggestions in a future newsletter!
