I recently spoke on stage at a business conference, and it was extra special because, for the first time, my kids got to see Dad up there in front of 800 people.

By trade, I spent 25 years as a mortgage loan officer (my partner, Leah, runs that team now, just in case you need a mortgage 🙂). Over the last 10 years I’ve built a sales and business coaching company, which takes me to lots of live events. This was the first one my kids attended where I gave the keynote.

Now that we have 10,000+ subscribers to this newsletter (and almost 1,000 of you are business owners), I’ve been thinking about hosting a local business networking event. Interested?

One of the things I’ve fallen in love with since moving here is how supportive the local business community is. If you’re a business owner, hit reply and tell me what you do. I’d love to connect.

In today’s Scoop:

🚧 Overnight 215 closure in Summerlin for bridge work

The Gist: Northbound lanes of the 215 Beltway between Far Hills Avenue and the Summerlin Parkway interchange will close from 10 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday as crews install a new pedestrian bridge. Traffic will be detoured onto Summerlin Parkway during the closure. The work is part of the $1 billion CC-215/Summerlin Parkway Interchange project, which includes new bridges, underpasses, and trail connections.

Why It Matters:
The improvements will make the interchange safer and more accessible for drivers and pedestrians alike. A brief overnight detour for a long-term upgrade to Summerlin’s road network.
