Halloween is behind us, soccer is in full swing for Alina, Gabe just started flag football, and the busy holiday and sports season has officially begun. Our family tradition is to head to Grandpa’s house for Thanksgiving and stay home for Christmas. We also have a long-standing Christmas Day tradition of going to the movies. 🙂

Karina’s family celebrates on Christmas Eve, while mine is all about opening gifts early in the morning, so by lunchtime we’re usually ready for a change of pace. That’s how the movie tradition began. This year, we’re planning to see the third installment of Avatar on Christmas Day.

What about you? What holiday traditions does your family have? And are there any local spots you’re visiting this season that we should feature in the newsletter?
